Notes:
Buoyed by the success of the first two blankets, I decided to make this one as a blanket for the guest bedroom.

Then I had an existential crisis.

I wondered why I was bringing this blanket into existence.

Certainly, it was pretty, but I didn't need it. Central heating means this place never gets that cold. This blanket would be essentially useless.

It lost a lot of its beauty at that point. I was over halfway through the squares, and didn't want to go on.

Fortunately, I finally realized that I didn't need to keep the blanket. Even though I had made it to go with the colors in the guest room, I could give the blanket away.

And now, when I look at photos of the blanket, I can see that it really is quite pretty.

This was edged in single row of variegated yarn. As with the Irish Jewel blanket, I didn't have enough yarn to do a double row. But unlike the Irish Jewel blanket, none of the main colors shrieked, "Use me, instead!"
